Chiropractors

Dr. James Hadden obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo, with a 5 year Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology.  He then studied an additional 4 years at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, where he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1995.  He was awarded the Cum Laude academic award, as well as, Clinic Internship Honours and Athlete of the Year awards upon graduation.  Dr. Hadden helped conduct research studies in orthopedics at Sunnybrook Hospital between 1992 – 1994.

Dr. Janine Taylor earned her undergraduate degree from Queen’s University in Kingston with a Bachelor of Science in Life Science.  Chiropractic appealed to her because it is a drug-free, natural approach to health.  More importantly it offered her an opportunity to help people obtain enhanced health with improved functioning, strengthening, nutrition and injury prevention. She attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.  During her internship she worked at the Muki Baum Children’s Treatment Centre working with physically and mentally challenged young adults.   Upon graduation she was awarded the Presidents award, the HK Lee award, and the Students Council award.

In 2005 Dr. Taylor obtained post-graduate training in contemporary medical acupuncture at McMaster University.  Read more about acupuncture under the “Health Services” section of this website.

Registered Massage Therapists

Sarah Jeffreys RMT

Hello!  I have been working with Dr. Hadden & the healthcare team at Clarington Chiropractic Clinic since 2003.  Before I started working at the clinic, I attended Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough for three years.  During my time in Peterborough I volunteered for two semesters at the Fleming Massage Therapy, and Sports Massage Therapy Clinics.  During my last year of school I worked at the Women’s Native Health Center, called Niijkiwendidaa Anishnaabe Kwewag.  Here I provided massage therapy treatments to women who underwent a great deal of stress, anxiety and depression.  These conditions can lead to many other problems that can be treated with massage.  Volunteering at these clinics gave me the experience and confidence I needed to pursue my career as a RMT.

Here at the Clarington Chiropractic Clinic I offer a variety of soft tissue techniques to treat conditions such as whiplash, arthritis, headaches, sports injuries, sciatic nerve pain, pregnancy massage, and relaxation massage.  Gift certificates are available, and make great presents for friends and family.

I look forward to meeting you at the Clinic!

Lori Hey (Shtun) RMT

Hello, and for those of you that don’t know me, my name is Lori and I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in 2006 and I am now a registered massage therapist.  During my time at CCMH I learned a lot with theory, practical, and hands-on training. What I enjoyed most about my program was the opportunity to work at Toronto Rehab treating many patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Paraplegics and Stroke survivors. It was rewarding to give my clients at Toronto Rehab the pain relief and comfort they needed in order to make each day better.

I’m now working with the team at Clarington Chiropractic Clinic and I am extremely excited to start to work with you through your healing process at the clinic.

Combining knowledge and treatment skills with intuitive client care, I am dedicated to being your helping hand on your journey to optimum health and relaxation.

Hope to see you soon, book your appointment today!

I have taken many courses to extend my knowledge in treating Sacroiliac joint dysfunction, shoulder dysfunction, whiplash, arthritis and bursitis, strains/sprains and prenatal massage.

I have always had a passion for Massage Therapy; it is such a rewarding profession. I like being able to make a difference in people’s lives.  Taking care of your body should be at the top of your priority list. Massage Therapy is a preventative way to maintain your health. Make regular appointments for a massage as part of your health maintenance plan and prevent conditions before they develop.
