Dr. Isabelle Talsma, B.HSc., D.C.
MATERNITY LEAVE Until October 2024
Dr. Isabelle Talsma attended the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, where she obtained her Bachelor of Heatlh Sciences (Honours) majoring in Kinesiology.
Dr. Talsma then went to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she attained the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, graduating in 2022, and received post graduate training in Integrasted dry needling/Acupuncture in 2023.

Dr. Talsma has worked alongside sports teams, assisting in sideline coverage throughout her years of education, and now practices with a diversified technique focusing on soft tissue therapy, manipulation and mobilization of joints, use of modalities, and exercise prescription.
Isabelle believes that each patient is unique, and is dedicated to offering care that reflects that individualization.

Dr. James Hadden B.Sc., D.C.
Dr. Hadden obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo, with a five year Honors Bachelor of Science in Biology.

James studied an additional four years at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, where he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1995.
​
James was awarded the Cum Laude Academic Award, as well as, the Clinic Internship Honours and Athlete of the Year Award upon graduation.
Dr. Hadden helped conduct research studies in orthopedics at Sunnybrook Hospital between 1992-1994.

Dr. Hadden is a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario in good standing.

Dr. Janine Taylor B.Sc., D.C.
Dr. Janine Taylor grew up in the Durham region. She is thrilled to practice in her own community.
Dr. Taylor attended Queen's University where she obtained her BSc degree in Life Sciences. After graduation she obtained her Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (2004). In 2005 Dr. Taylor obtained post-graduate training in contemporary medical acupuncture at McMaster University.
In her spare time Janine enjoys running, biking and sewing. She is proud to lead a local 'Boomerang Bag' group which up-cycles fabric into tote bags as a sustainable alternative to plastic bags. Together with her husband and kids, she enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Samantha Marshall B.Sc., D.C
Locum Chiropractor for Dr. Talsma
Dr. Samantha Marshall is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Prior, Dr. Sam graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Science, Honors Specialization in Kinesiology. Throughout her 8 years of university education, Dr. Sam gained extensive knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and injury rehabilitation for all areas of the body. She has worked closely with varsity athletes and local sports teams for sideline first aid and acute injury care.

Dr. Sam is also heavily involved in the sport of gymnastics. Growing up as a gymnast and competing in National Championships, she understands the mental, physical, and emotional demands of high-level sports. Now, as a competitive coach and director of a gymnastics club, Dr. Sam finds joy in combining her passion for sport and her knowledge of how the body works every day!

Dr. Sam is trained in acupuncture, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, MRT soft tissue therapy, kinesio-taping, as well as Thompson and Diversified techniques. She believes in the three-pillars of evidence-based medicine which are Patient Values, Clinical Expertise, and the Best Available Evidence. And she is passionate about working as a team with her patients to educate, inspire, and strive towards a healthier future.

Dr. Jessica Maguire B.Sc, RN, ND
Jessica Maguire, ND, RN, earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Driven by her passion for helping people, Jessica pursued a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Toronto, graduating in 2010. During her time at U of T she and a peer decided to volunteer in Ghana. Jessica’s volunteer experience in Ghana allowed her to assist local RNs in well-baby checks and spending time at an orphanage. The experience sparked personal growth, fostering gratitude, and a passion for service.

In 2019, Jessica furthered her education by enrolling at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto graduating in 2023.
​
Today, Jessica combines her diverse educational background, extensive clinical experience, and passion for natural healing to empower her patients on their journey toward optimal health and well-being. As a dedicated Naturopathic Doctor and RN, she offers a unique blend of evidence based and holistic care in her practice combining acupuncture, lifestyle and diet coaching, nutraceutical and botanical prescriptions.

Andrea Dixon B.Sc.
Andrea Dixon completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph in 1998. She has been a member of The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2000.
In addition to these qualifications, Andrea became certified in Low Intensity Laser Therapy in 2006.
Using massage therapy in conjunction with laser therapy has broadened the scope of her practice. She enjoys the challenge of difficult to treat pathologies and injuries. In 2013 Andrea was awarded 'Laser Clinician of The Year' at the 2013 international laser conference.
In her free time, Andrea is an outdoor enthusiast who is passionate about her horses and dogs. She enjoys skiing and cycling with her family and is currently working with her husband and son to create a sustainable agriculture environment at their hobby farm.

Heather Johnstone
Heather has over 2,200 training hours and is a graduate of Trillium College. She has been a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2016.
She has a love for health and wellness and helping others and these two passions led her to become an RMT. Through massage therapy, she aims to assist clients to reduce pain and related symptoms, increase mobility and decrease stress to enhance the quality of their lives.
She is experienced in providing Swedish massage techniques, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, pre- and post-natal as well as treatments with a more relaxation focus.
Heather has a very caring, professional presence. Whatever your individual needs are, she will tailor your treatments to meet your specific health and wellness goals.

Michelle Lowe
Michelle graduated from Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2002. She is licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and is a member of the Ontario Massage Therapists Association (OMTA).
Michelle has worked in both a clinic and spa environment where she uses a variety of Swedish techniques as well as trigger point therapy, deep tissue, stretching, prenatal and relaxation for pain and stress management. Michelle is always working to keep her clients healthy and happy.

Chantal Stephens
Chantal graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Durham College. She considers herself a strong advocate for the profession and helping the public understand what RMTs can offer to the health profession.
As part of our team Chantal is hoping to help the community develop knowledge about their musculoskeletal health as well as help restore mobility through deep tissue massage.
She has worked with a variety of clients over the past 3 years including varsity athletes.
In the future Chantal plans to expand her modalities at the clinic.

Deacon Barbour B.HSc.
Deacon completed his Bachelor of Health Science with a major in Kinesiology at Ontario Tech University in 2017 where he graduated with Distinction. He then graduated with honors from Durham College in 2020 completing his advanced diploma in Massage Therapy during which time he worked as a Registered Kinesiologist in the Durham Region, treating a wide variety of clients in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
His approach to therapy is to adapt the treatment based on each individual patient using a combination of Swedish and Deep-tissue Massage, Cupping Therapy, Kinesio Taping, Therapeutic Exercise, instrument-assisted and manual Soft-tissue manipulation, and evidence-based Orthopedic Physical Assessment.
Deacon is passionate about using his knowledge and skills gained from 5+ years of working in the field of rehabilitation and wellness to help his patients alleviate pain, reduce stress, improve movement, and reach their goals.

Erica MacNeil
With 20 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, Erica knows a thing or two about movement, recovery and preventative care.
Her passion for health and wellness started at an early age as she was always involved in sports and recreation growing up and had her first gym membership at the early age of 13. She is personally committed to living a healthy lifestyle and believes movement truly is medicine.
As an experienced practitioner, Erica strongly believes a successful treatment / treatment plan is achieved through the collaboration with her clients to ensure they are both on the same page whether that be decrease pain, improve mobility or to simply relax after a stressful day.
These goals can be achieved with the use of superficial to deep manual therapy, cupping, fascial work, corrective exercise, kinesio taping and client education on body mechanics and home care.
